Electric Cookers Information
All electric cookers are freestanding. They are designed to be able to slot between your existing kitchen units and they provide a practical focus point for your kitchen. It is very important that you consider whether the electric cooker you have chosen needs to be connected to your electric mains. If this is the case then this connection must be performed by a fully trained electrician, which we recommend that you book once your appliance has been delivered.
Electric cooker hobs
Modern electric hobs come with a choice of 3 innovative hob types; ceramic hobs, induction hobs and solid plate hobs. Ceramic hobs are fast heating and easy to clean, induction hobs use intelligent technology to heat the bottom of the pan only and not the surface of the hob and solid plate hobs offer a robust cooking surface. The model that you choose will depend on your personal preference and the amount of money that you have to spend.
Oven type
You can choose your electric cooker with one of three oven types: conventional, multifunctional and fan ovens. Conventional ovens heat from the bottom of the oven only, the hot air then rises, these ovens are ideal for cooks who love to bake. Multi functional ovens heat from the top and the bottom of the oven; this allows you to cook two different food types at one time. Finally fan ovens use fan technology to achieve an even temperature within the oven, they are also super quick at heating up.
Electric cooker cleaning features
If you hate cleaning your oven then you will love the self cleaning features that are part and parcel of selected models. Self cleaning features include;– these liners act as a catalyst whilst the oven is switched on, burning off any baked on food and grease easily and this programme heats the oven to high temperatures turning any baked on foods to ash which can be easily swept away.
Electric cooker timers
Make sure that you time your cooking to perfection with intelligent electric cookers timers. Simple minute minders display, in a countdown format, the cooking time remaining. Fully programmable timers allow you to start and finish cooking at a time specified by you, this is ideal if you are going out and want to start cooking before you return home.
Electric cookers energy rating
Electric Cookers with higher energy ratings mean less energy will be wasted by the appliance during use. The less energy that is used, the more money that you will save on your energy bills and the less harm that the appliance will do to the environment. If the environment is something that concerns you, then you should look out for A energy rated electric cookers to help you do your bit!
